• Give a brief description of your responsibilities within your role at the Shropshire Cricket Board
Ensuring women and girls are a priority within the recreational game and the Women and Girls pathway in Shropshire.
• What do you enjoy most about your role with the SCB
Helping to grow the game (playing, coaching, officiating etc) for women and girls as I see the positive impact they can have in all aspects of the game.
• Tell us a little about your educational/professional background before joining the SCB
Educated up to A-level standard, job within customer service role before taking a break to be a stay at home mum.
• What other jobs do you currently have (if applicable)
Customer assistant in a supermarket.
• Other than Cricket what are your other hobbies and interests?
The very little time that is left after organising, coaching, watching, driving to cricket is taken up by spending time with family or taking the children to their other activities!
• What do you consider to be your greatest achievement within Cricket?
Not one particular moment but from a Club perspective having the juniors who started as 6/7 year olds playing senior cricket for my Club is great to see.
Getting shortlisted for the Heartbeat of the Club award and going to Lords’, was a lovely experience I love what I do at my Club but it was nice to be rewarded.
• Who is your favourite cricketer?
Ben Stokes – great cricketer and always seems to be putting in 100 per cent, a great example for any junior player wanting to get better.
• What did you want to be when growing up?
Table Tennis player.
• Who is your biggest inspiration?
My parents, have always worked hard, got us (when we were younger) where we needed to be for our activites and I still rely on them now for a lot of this for my kids, have always played an active part within the Cricket Club my dad played at and helped wherever they could.
• What is your lifetime ambition?
If my children grow up to be happy, decent people then I will be content.

• What are your aspirations for Cricket in Shropshire?
To continue to grow the base and getting more women and girls involved in cricket in any capacity. Would love to see more women coaching in Clubs across Shropshire and inspiring more women and girls to play an enjoy cricket.
