Job title

What are your primary roles with SCB?
Supporting the Women & Girl’s Officer in administrative duties as well as supporting the provision and delivery of recreational cricket for females from five years old upwards.
What cricketing positives did you take from 2020 despite Covid?
Despite restrictions, cricket was safe to operate and everyone took care of each other, being more considerate of others and to not take cricket for granted. Just being grateful to be able to play cricket.
What are the plans for post lockdown in your area of expertise ahead of the season?
Women’s Softball Taster Sessions to take place to engage with females and ignite their interest in cricket.
Women’s Softball Festivals to take place throughout the summer as they are great fun and seeing Women enjoying cricket and socialising is amazing.
Women’s Hardball Taster Sessions for those Women who want to take playing cricket to the next level.
Some community projects to get more Women and Girls playing cricket.
What are you biggest hopes for the season?
Biggest hope is that we can have an action-packed summer engaging Women in the sport and enjoying some live cricket.
Will you be playing cricket this season, and if so, who for?
Yes, I will be playing for Shifnal CC Women’s Hardball team.
How have you coped with lockdown(s) so far and what have you got up?
I have generally been OK in lockdowns as I am lucky in that I live with my family and we have a garden and have been on some great walks.
I passed the time with home workouts, improved my cooking skills and did an online sports massage course.
I am also a massive football fan so when that was back on the television I watched every game!
Any tips or hints you can pass on to help others?
Find something that takes your mind off of things and try to stick to a rough routine so that you can switch off and fully focus on that task, but don’t put any pressure on yourself. Whether it be exercising, knitting, learning a language or doing an online course.
