Cricket Shropshire Chairman Adrian Collins' big charity challenge has got off to a fabulous start – before he's even had time to get on his bike!AC is planning to cycle to 54 cricket clubs in Shropshire in June travelling 500 miles to raise money for Blood Cancer UK and Chance to Shine.
He initially set himself a target of raising £500, but has already smashed through that total on his JustGiving page, so has now doubled his target to £1,000.
AC said: "Thanks to everyone who has donated so far, please keep giving, the rides start next week."The more money we can raise for these two charities, the better, as with so many, they do fantastic work in the community."
He plans to reveal his routes in advance on Cricket Shropshire's website and social media, and is hoping to take pictures and write a blog about his journeys around the county.
Chance to Shine is a national charity that aims to give all children the opportunity to play, learn and develop through cricket.
Blood Cancer UK is a community dedicated to beating blood cancer by funding research and supporting those affected. Since 1960, it has invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives.
