The frustrations continued for both Shropshire Over 60s sides in the second half of their campaigns after successful early season form.
The 1st XI lost to Warwickshire, while the 2nd XI came second best to a strong Essex XI.
Skipper John Foster lost the toss when the 1st XI travelled to Nuneaton to take on Warwickshire, and the hosts chose to bat first.
Tim Cotton led the way with the ball taking 2-30 as Warwickshire were restricted to 198-5 from their 45 overs on a tricky pitch.
In the reply, Shropshire lost early wickets including Foster for 22, and although other batsmen got to double figures, no-one managed to go on to make a big score as Shropshire finished on 129-8.
The 2nd XI hosted Essex and Wellington, and skipper Andrew Chapman lost the toss with the visitors choosing to bat first.
Barry Jones picked up the wickets of both openers on his way to impressive figures of 2-19, and Preston Fletcher claimed 5-27 including three stumpings for the skipper.
But in between the wickets, Essex managed to press the accelerator and finished their 45 overs on 214-8.
In the reply Dave Shaw hit 29, Geoff Bristow 28 and Jones 22 as Shropshire finished on 146-7 to claim five bonus points.
The Over 50s 2nd XI were left frustrated by the rain when their clash with Warwickshire was abandoned without a ball being bowled.
