The curtain came down on the highly successful North Shropshire Soft Ball League with any one of four teams in with a chance of taking the title.
The Oswestry derby between the School and Cricket club ended up with a dominant display by the Cricket Club ladies who batted first and scored 267 for the loss of 2 wickets.
The school girls displayed great endeavour in trying to chase down the total but the experience of the Payne family kept the chase in check as they closed on 217-3.
Next up, Whitchurch and Knockin & Kinnersely served up a treat.
Batting first, Whitchurch put on a solid performance scoring 268 of the loss of only 1 wicket.
Knockin got off to a flyer with openers smashing 42 from the first two overs.
It continued to be nip and tick for the rest of the innings and with six required from the last over, thanks to some excellent bowling and fielding from Whitchurch, Knockin lost two wickets to end up on 258-3
That result left Beacon Belles needing to beat Ellesmere to pip Whitchurch to the title.
Beacon batted first and had a steady if unconvincing first five overs, their score was boosted by a last over 21 to take the score to 269 with no loss of wickets, a first for the competition.
Ellesemere suffered a couple of early set backs and the Belles bowled and fielded in harmony, but a late surge fell just short in a spirited batting display as the innings closed on 248-2
Clubs and Community Cricket Manager Steve Reese said: "It all means Beacon Belles gained their third title of the indoor season with Whitchurch Ladies finishing as runners-up on head to head. Oswestry Cricket Club were in a creditable third place.
"Ellesmere, for a first attempt at Soft Ball Indoor cricket, have built some enthusiasm which should see them have a very enjoyable summer, whilst Knockin were getting better as the tournament went on.
"Although wooden spoonists, Oswestry School inflicted Beacon Belles' only defeat in the league.
"It was a fantastic competition, which was superbly delivered by SCB Coach Ryan Lockley."
