Welcome to our Competitions' Page
Welcome to the section of the site dedicated to SCB competitions. This section will provide information on all club and school competitions run by the SCB (as well as partners who run junior competitions such as the East Shropshire Cricket League) including details of all the fixtures (dates and venues). The number of competitions organised by the SCB is constantly expanding to fit with the ever increasing levels of participation, particularly as a result of the increased uptake of the game in clubs and schools that has been driven by the Chance to Shine initiative.
All competitions, from grass-roots involvement (Schools Kwik-Cricket tournaments) to performance level (Shropshire junior cup competitions) will be covered. Contacts for the appropriate people involved in organising these events will also be included, as well as how to enter your teams.
Please refer to the download section for league rules, fixtures etc. For further details regarding girls' cricket competitions, please refer to the Women and Girls' page of the site.
For more information about non-first class rules and regulations (including those for national junior competitions) please visit the ECB website.

U13 National Club Championship
Mike Gatting, ECB Managing Director of Cricket Partnerships, said 'It is testament to the heritage and quality of the ECB U13 National Club Championship that it has produced so many world class performers over the years.' Anya Shrubsole, was one of the first girls to ever appear in the Finals Festival when she played for Bath CC in 2005.
'In 2008 she made her England debut in a Women’s ODI against South Africa and is just the latest example.' Giles Clarke, ECB chairman, said: 'England stars such as Andrew Flintoff, Monty Panesar, and James Anderson have all taken part in the ECB U13 National Club Championship as have former England players such as Nasser Hussain, Steve Harmison and Marcus Trescothick.'
'I think that shows the importance of the competition on the path from the playground to the Test arena and why it has established itself in the last 30 years as an essential part of the cricketing calendar.' The Championship is played on a county basis with each of the 40 county winners progressing to a National Knock-out Competition.
The winners get to lift the prestigious Ken Barrington trophy. For more details on U13 National Club Championships visit the ECB website. - (TOP)
